Summary
It's the start of Carmine's junior year at Blueberry University, and she's only interested in three things: getting good grades, spending time with her small circle of friends, and making sure her younger brother, Kieran, adjusts well to city college life as an incoming freshman.
To Carmine's surprise, Kieran seems to be adjusting well. He beamed over learning that his long-term crush, Juliana, had picked the same college as him after running into her during his orientation. Carmine herself even had an unexpected reunion with Drayton - a "friend" from her past who she had fallen out of touch with after learning that he had apparently become some sort of party-loving campus heartbreaker. Despite her successful aversions of him on campus, Drayton had managed to taunt her into a bet on the direction of Kieran and Juliana's relationship. Carmine seized the opportunity to wager against Drayton in hopes to halt his womanizing tendencies, but did she get in over her head with agreeing to the bet? Especially considering Drayton's...CONDITIONS...on what she owes him if she loses?!

Summary
It's just two weak pillars supporting one another. What difference does it make if they get married?
From the perspective of canon, not much. They are so low-key about the relationship that not even all the other Hashira know about it. Giyuu and Shinobu promised one another to prioritize their demon slaying missions, but that locus of priority can make it difficult to navigate their roles as spouses. What happens with their missions is of no real concern to the other, right? Maybe they both need to talk more, before they find bigger things to argue about than fictional baby names.This is the chronological version of my somewhat popular Tumblr-based AU, with doodles showing how this sort of lens through which to view canon either makes everything funnier or much more painful. The doodles will be posted here as relevant, but long-time followers of the AU have lots of new material to look forward to.
