Summary
Vessel was used to the pain. Used to bending. Used to breaking for a god who only ever demanded more.
But when Sleep goes too far, an ancient presence intervenes — something older than the gods, older than life, older than the very dream that claimed him. It does not ask for worship. It does not demand obedience.
It simply steps in.

Or, my twist on the Sleep Token lore where Vessel finally gets to be happy ;)

Raised to be a weapon, he was never meant to survive childhood—let alone have a future.

Summary
III was stuck, sprawled on the rug in the living room, the plastic controller out of his grasp as Vessel sat heavy on his stomach, pleased with himself, body thrumming with the thrill of a virtual victory. It wasn’t that III was a sore loser, just that he didn’t like losing to Vessel. Losing to a bitch, man, his old pack would’ve mocked him forever. But it wasn’t his fault that Vessel’s hypermobile thumbs seemed ultra-fucking engaged when it came to Mario Kart. III wasn’t built for that shit.
“Say it,” Vessel said again. Across the room, IV was bundled up in a big, squishy armchair — a new purchase for the house — taking apart the innards of an old laptop and ignoring the two of them. III looked at him for help from the floor, but IV’s brow was crumpled deep in concentration as he dug the screwdriver in further. On top of him, Vessel’s fingers tapped against his jaw, damp with spit. “Say it, you lost to a fucking bitch. And now you’re trying really hard not to pop a knot.”
or
The pack move in together, but it's not smooth sailing between III and Vessel.

Summary
“Could you lay down with me?”
II enters Vessel’s nest carefully, mindful not to disturb anything. Once inside, he takes Vessel’s hand and allows himself to be maneuvered until they’re lying face to face, Vessel’s head tucked beneath his chin.
“What’s going on with you, sweetheart?”
“I didn’t pass out because I’m going into heat,” Vessel says quietly. “Or because I’ve taken too many suppressants.”
“Then what?”
“It’s… it’s nothing serious.”
Despite the claim, Vessel wraps his arms around him and pulls him close, tight enough to hurt.
“I mean, it has a name,” he murmurs, lips brushing the hollow between II’s collarbones. “But it’s pretty outdated. A lot of people don’t even think it’s real.”
II stills.
“My doctor said I’m developing Rejection Syndrome.”
For a moment, II doesn’t understand. The term is so old to his ears it may as well be foreign, something pulled from a textbook or fantasy novel.
"How?"
--
Vessel's alpha has been emotionally neglecting him for years, and the effects are beginning to take a physical toll. II decides it's time to stop avoiding their feelings and finally do something about it.
