The war and its following aftershocks have left the world they once knew in shambles. Tasked with looking after his (still healing) big brother for a change, Tails finds himself stuck inside his own head, nursing a caffeine addiction and a grounded, gutted plane that only serves to remind him of things he'd rather forget. Of course, it's no one's fault but his own that the ebb and flow of destruction is starting to feel more like a desolate spiral, actually. Maybe Knuckles is right...he's probably finally lost it.

She wants Mira and Zoey so badly, in whatever way, shape, or form that comes in.
For once in her life, Rumi wants to be selfish.
Or: HUNTR/X works towards sealing the Honmoon and falls in love along the way. Pre-reveal Rumi, hiding both her patterns and her wants, loves her girls in whatever way she can until she's free (whether that means shielding Mira and Zoey in fights or pretending to be something she's not). She just has to hold out until the Honmoon’s golden. Straightforward enough, right?

Rumi doesn’t leave.

The way they don’t seem to shy away from her, the way both of them seem to seek physical contact.
She doesn’t even think that anyone ever hugged her, before she met her team.
And now, she’s here, between her first and best friends – and Zoey keeps burying her head in Rumi’s shoulder, whenever she laughs too much; and Mira’s legs are pressed against her own, and the taller girl absentmindedly grabs her hand every now and then.She thinks she might like it - being held like this.

In which the Honmoon is more than just a shield protecting the world from demons - it is a net, is a connection, it binds souls together and never lets them go again. And it has chosen. The rain was burning everything around her, but Luz’s eyes were caught on Amity – cheeks far more flushed than Luz had ever seen them, panting softly and barely holding up her own umbrella-like forcefield to prevent herself from getting burnt. The acid rain bit at her feet, which were turned in on each other, and added to the feeling of her hunched-over shoulders – that Amity looked small, and flustered, and vulnerable.
“I’m sorry,” Amity began, a tremor on her lips that Luz wanted to, but couldn’t, discount to the cold. “I didn’t know where else to go. Can I stay?”
The Amity-runaway AU, because something is up with her parents, and we all know it.
