   Summary

   Hero had always felt a bit like an outsider in the Fang household. Not because they didn't love her, not because they didn't treat her like their daughter, but just because she did. Neither of her siblings were as naturally inclined to magic as her. Her mother's eyes looked nothing like her own and her father's smile was always a bit sad when he looked at her.

   But it wasn't until her Uncle Thjazi died that she started to really wonder what all that meant.
