Summary
“I don’t think I’ll last another summer, bro,” Eggchan mumbled, suddenly so small and quiet. And if Wemmbu hadn’t been practicing his knife skills, he’d probably have already cut his fingers off. Wemmbu forced the word out of his throat. It should be easy enough, right?
Or, a Taxduo hospital fic that's been in my mind for far too long.

Summary
The truck's window lowered, revealing a man in the driver's seat. Large, that was your first impression. Tall enough that his head nearly touched the roof of the cab, broad shoulders silhouetted against the dashboard lights.
"Car trouble?" His voice carried a slight accent—European, maybe Austrian or German. Polite. Concerned, even.
"Yes! Oh my god, yes." The words tumbled out in a rush of relief. "It just died on me. I don't know what happened, it was running fine and then—"
"That's unfortunate." He leaned closer to his window, and you caught a better glimpse of his face. Strong features, light eyes that reflected the dashboard glow, short hair. Handsome, in a rough sort of way. "This road doesn't get much traffic at night."
"I could give you a ride," he offered finally. "To the next town. There's a motel there with a payphone. You could call for a tow."
Your first instinct was to say yes—enthusiastically, gratefully, anything to get out of this situation. But years of true crime podcasts and general survival instincts made you hesitate.
You said yes anyway.

Summary
You blinked toward the front seats. A man sat in the passenger side—broad shoulders blocking part of the windshield, short dark hair catching streetlight. Wasn't he supposed to be driving? Maybe his friend was the driver. Some cabbies brought people along during shifts, right? You'd seen that somewhere. Or maybe you made it up. Brain wasn't working proper.
"Sorry," you slurred, trying to sit upright. Failed. Gave up. The leather was cool against your flushed cheek. Felt nice. "'M not gonna puke. Probably."
The passenger twisted slightly, looking back at you over his shoulder. Couldn't make out his features—lighting wrong, vision swimming—but you caught the outline of a strong jaw. He stared for a beat too long before turning back forward. "'S not our—"
"Shut it," another voice cut in. Lower. Colder. Coming from the driver's seat. You couldn't see him at all, just a vague dark shape behind the headrest. "Where to, then?"
Where to, actually?
----
You, being the broken-hearted little thing you were, did not notice that this wasn't your cab at all. Lucky for you, these men were good Samaritan, and were so, so glad to take you to safety.
