“You should’ve listened to me. I was keeping you safe,” Verity stated, so very matter-of-factly. Mob concedes, he was curious and didn’t keep Verity’s warning in high regard, but it was also an equal part accident, he swears! Verity’s face was mere inches away. Mob can feel the warmth of his breath. Is this how he was going to die? Oh my God is Verity going to eat him? Does he even respawn if he’s eaten?
Wait. He’s looking to the side. Why? Oh, please no. Verity’s attention was drifting downwards. Mob squeezed his legs together to try to hide the evidence.
Down, boy.
At least let him die with some dignity. Please, please, please, don’t notice…
Verity's grin deepened, the serrated edges of his mouth crinkling. Fuck. "You freak, you really do get off to this. I thought I was mistaken. Why, I would’ve saved a lot of effort convincing you to listen to me," he chuckled, tapping a sharpened claw against the hem of his pants.
The time Verity breaks into Mob's outlook ends a little differently than expected.

Simon paused his kisses. “How did you see this going?”
“I don’t know. We would… talk about it?”
“Do you want to talk instead?”
Grace couldn’t even remember what he wanted to say. Actually, there were no words that described what he wanted. “No. No, keep going.”

Slowly, they get to know one another, despite Simon potentially being a war criminal from a moon with an ocean full of blood.
