There’s relief in knowing that Kyouji is eager to touch him, but the thin red lines decorating the back of his hand remind Satomi of the cat they saw on their way over from the station. Or rather, the cat’s reaction to Kyouji trying to pet it.
“Cats probably hate you because you’re too heavy-handed,” Satomi tells him, pushing his glasses further up the bridge of his nose.
