Summary
There is no such thing as safe.
In a world where violence breeds actual living, breathing, horrible monsters;
Albedo and Kaeya stand as heirs to a divided city. All Kaeya wants is to prove he is as ruthless as his father, who lets these monsters roam and forces the citizens to pay for his protection.
Meanwhile, all Albedo wants is to be human. To be as determined and helpful as his mother who has a bigger role in protecting the innocent-but unlike his mother, he is one of the monsters too. One that can steal one’s soul with a simple strain of music.
When Albedo is sent by his mother to keep an eye on Kaeya who’s just been expelled from his sixth boarding school and had to return to his hometown, he jumps at it.
But something is not right, and it rests uneasily on both of them.
A.k.a: city is split in half and governed by two other people, their heirs are Albedo and Kaeya. Kaeya is an estranged son who wants to prove himself, Albedo is a monster who doesn't want to be one.
