Witness to two of the longest, deadliest, and most notorious battles of the entire conflict, 1916 was the year in which the situation on both the Western Front and the Sinai Peninsula changed drastically, signaling the beginning of the end.

Unfortunately, the helicopter ride back from Yamantau gave Woods a lot of time to think. He hated thinking. Hated the kind of thoughts that crept in when there wasn’t a cigarette in his mouth or a beer in his hand to drown them out. He didn't like what his thoughts sounded like as Mason's hand splayed over his thigh.
