Summary
Asriel comes home from college a week early, leaving Toriel surprised and unsure what to do.
But Kris knows something she doesn't. Asriel has just gotten expelled from his prestige college for getting caught with several banned substances in his dorm. He's relapsed. And kris is the only one who knows about it. Asriels unhealthy coping mechanisms are soon passed down over the course of the summer. Everyone's life is ruined as they fall into the deep, darker, yet darker pits of their own issues.
But then school gets back in, and Kris and Susie find their own little paradise hidden in the dusty old supply closet at the end of the hall. They've already come this far. What's a bit more adventure?
But the world is ending. Conflict is rising inside their small home and beyond it. Townsfolk that Kris had grown up to respect are acting strange. Not to mention humans and monsters both are soon to be plunged into darkness- and no one even knows.
On Kris' shoulders- the weight of the world; in their hand, a red and white pencil borrowed from a friend with a school project due at the end of the month.
And a stolen cigarette held between their fingers.

Summary
On her own timeline, she sees a picture of someone she knows in the town she's grown up in.
It’s that little mouse girl who used to babysit her, with her scarf wrapped around another – who’s notably shielded from view. They're at the diner, the picture clearly taken from through the window.
Noelle blinks a few times.
When did her ‘For You’ page get so local?
She immediately scrambles, clicking on the poster’s profile picture – where something rather sinister brews before her.
In bold, undisturbed letters, the words ‘HOMETOWN NEWS & GOSSIP’ appear before her.
Nothing good is going to come from this.

Summary
The fire inside her is burning again, and she doesn’t ever want it to stop. Brighter than a blaze or an explosion, the sort of thing she knows she can never feel again and yet so desperately wants to. Their lips taste like apples. She wants more. Their hands slide up to her neck and card through her hair. She wants more. She wants more.
The pain and the soreness and the guilt don’t register for a long, long time. It’s just her and Kris, the desk and the classroom and the world itself out of sight and out of mind.
This must be what hatred feels like.
Susie tries very, very hard to figure out how exactly she feels about Kris Dreemurr.
