Summary
"Your form has been improving remarkably quickly, Anakin," Obi-Wan said on the sparring platform one afternoon, as he wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead with his sleeve. "Don't tell me you've actually been listening to the healer for once and doing your physical therapy."
In his adrenaline-addled mind, it took Anakin a moment to sort out what his master was talking about, but eventually his gaze drifted down to his lightsaber, or, more accurately, to the mechno-hand that held it.
"Um," he said. "Something like that."
---
Or, once he could hold a lightsaber again, it took Anakin maybe three days to learn how to jerk off with the new metal hand. -

Summary
“You’re going to go live with your uncle in Paris for a while, love,” Grantaire’s mother said.
“But—why?”
At this, Uncle Javert cleared his throat, and gestured at the couch.
“Grantaire,” he said. “It’s time for us to have a long talk.”After Grantaire learns he's a wizard, his life, unsurprisingly, undergoes a lot of changes, but none big enough to stop him from keeping in touch with his childhood best friend. Over the years, Grantaire comes to find that nothing ever really changes. Things just get a whole lot bigger.

“You,” said Hawke, “are Varric fucking Tethras, bestselling author, badass rogue, charming son of a bitch. You’ve fought dragons. You’ve helped save Kirkwall, your home—“
“Save is a strong word.”
“—and you deserve happiness just as much as anyone else.”
Varric joins the inquisition, saves the world, and falls in love. Not necessarily in that order. -

Kepler said, with a short, confident laugh, "I don't know if you've forgotten in your brand new virus-founded idiocracy, but Dr. Maxwell and I put together are pretty damn smart. Pretty damn smart. I'm sure we can handle one job without you."

"Jacobi," said Kepler, with one hand on the steering wheel, the other on his sunglasses. "Have you ever robbed a gas station at gunpoint?"

Summary
And you know, there's something really liberating about putting your thoughts down and sending them out and not being able to take them back. I think you're probably reading this and thinking that I'm significantly weirder deep down inside than you'd thought, and that's all right because it's the truth. But maybe you don't care and you've already thrown this away and you'll toss any other ones I send out with the junk mail, unopened. And that'd be okay too. It's not the reading that counts; it’s the writing.
There are two boxes full of letters in Eames's desk drawer. The ones he receives from Arthur, and the ones he wishes he could send in reply.

Summary
Arthur wakes up and realizes the last ten years of his life have been a dream. He is nineteen, and he can barely remember where he is. What he can remember is the ghost of Eames’ hands pressed down on his chest trying frantically to stop the blood flooding up around his fingers as Arthur died (as he woke up).

Summary
you reach for the drawer on your left instead, brushing aside a handful of broken pens, three crumpled receipts, and fish-gutting knife, before finally settling on a recently-swiped clay garrote, which you hold delicately in your hands, marveling at the sharpness of the wire, and how much more interesting it would look strung around some poor bastard’s un-anticipating throat, cutting deep through layers of red until there’s nothing left but a quiet, strangled gurgling in the air.
but there is no thief or killer strolling through your door, only kepler, who is both a thief and killer and yet somehow so transcendent of those titles that he has become something else entirely, another breed, and you worship his every awful move he makes.
(or, kepler gets hurt, and jacobi lends a hand.)

Summary
In all fairness, it wasn’t like the island had featured a glowing neon sign that said “pirates docked here” in bright, flashing letters. No, those assholes had parked their ship on the other side, and laid in wait for unsuspecting ships to pass by. Like, for example, Ryan’s.
Or, for once, "instinct" actually reaps some good results.

Summary
Three portraits are discovered in a hidden cellar in Paris, all three dating back from the nineteenth century. What's weird is that the man in the portraits looks an awful lot like Enjolras. What's weirder is that the paintings are all signed "R."
