“And that is…common among the Forsaken?” Jaina asked carefully, walking over to where Sylvanas was sprawled.

Jaina Proudmoore is the most powerful mortal mage of Azeroth, and she is sick of every other Horde Warchief turning out to be a despot like clockwork. When Sylvanas Windrunner wins her mak'gora against Varok Saurfang, Jaina's patience comes to an end - and so does Sylvanas' reign.
Sylvanas is spared execution so that she will not become a martyr to her loyalists and to Horde sovereignty, but she is demoted and placed under house arrest - and Jaina herself will be the banshee's watcher.
