Summary
Ilya’s breath hitches and then he moans, involuntarily jerking up against the curve of Shane’s ass. He grinds himself against Shane twice on reflex, his right hand ghosting over Shane’s hip like he’s about to grab on and pull him in. But before he does, Ilya freezes, throwing himself away from Shane so quickly that he falls out of the bed.
Shane thinks ‘oh’ and smiles. Forces himself to maintain his steady breathing, keeps his eyes closed as Ilya calms down and climbs back into bed. Ilya settles against the edge of the mattress, distinctly not touching Shane at all, but his breathing has turned wild and ragged as he comes back down from the momentary flare up of panic, and Shane knows he wants to.
‘I didn’t want to wake you,’ Ilya had told him. And Shane gets it then. He really does.
