Jinx groaned her frustration as she shoved herself away from the chair. It scraped across the floor harshly but she ignored it, stomping over to stand in front of him. Finally he looked up, one eyebrow arched over his unimpressed expression. “Can I help you?” he drawled.
“Why do you always get like this after we fuck?”
Instantly, the vague amusement was gone, replaced by a stony exterior that could put a gargoyle to shame. “Repeat that question to yourself and perhaps you’ll discover the answer.”
