Summary
There were no tears shed for Riko Moriyama. His only direct relative by blood, Ichirou, had slipped quietly out of West Virginia on a red-eye flight after Riko's death, citing other business matters to take care of. That left Kevin the closest thing to family he'd ever had in the sparse crowd of people that attended the wake.
----
Kevin attends Riko's funeral and remembers.

Summary
Andrew didn't hesitate to punch Kevin in the face. The taller man fell back into the dirt with a grunt, blinking back stars.
"You're only alive because I allow it. You tell me what to do or say that word to me one more time, I'll gut you like a pig."
Kevin tried to steady himself, putting a hand up in surrender. "I wasn't—I wasn't speaking to you. I wasn't telling you to kneel. I meant, that's Neil," he coughed, nodding towards the body. "His name's Neil. We knew each other. At Evermore."
----
Five years after the end of the world, two ex-Ravens stumble into Foxhole camp.

Summary
In West Virginia, when Kevin was allowed outside of the Nest, he loved when it snowed. The sight of soft white flurries calmed his mind, silencing any racing thoughts as his eyes tracked the dizzying dance of snowflakes as they floated to the ground.
Here in South Carolina, Kevin stared at the slumbering forms of his roommates as he tried to ignore the aching pain in his left hand, timing his breaths to the slow rise and fall of their chests.----
The first snowfall makes memories rise to the surface while Kevin deals with the echoes of an old injury.

Summary
"You almost killed me taking your pants off," Adam gasped out between laughs.
Ronan felt his dick twitch at the soft sounds Adam made.
"Well, I didn't," he said, crossing his arms.
"You didn't," Adam nodded. A smile ghosted across his lips. "Good boy."
----
Ronan doesn't love that Adam has decided to live in the smallest apartment possible, but it might come with some perks.

Summary
The first time Neil dies is devastating. The second time is just as bad. The third time has them wondering if there’s a way out of this loop that doesn’t end with Neil dead.

Summary
"I'm not undead," Neil frowns. "I'm dead. There's no 'un' prefix. I died. You were there."
"I was not there."
"You went to my funeral."
"To spit on the casket."
Neil smirks. "You even got me flowers."
"Those were funeral wreath flowers. And they were fake." He slides his palm up to Kevin's neck, cupping his Adam's apple gently and taking advantage of the position of his hand to tease the tip of his nails against his chin and jawline, making Kevin melt into him with a sigh. "Plus, you invited me to your funeral."
Or: the process of helping Kevin transition into a vampire is, surprisingly, not harder than learning how to deal with your own feelings.

Summary
"Would you come if it were a request and not an order anyway?"
If he’d asked, truly asked, I want to see you topped with please, Jean would have cursed him out and jumped on the first plane to South Carolina. And perhaps I guess you could come here is not a stern come to Palmetto that it could have been, but it is not good enough, it is not what Jean wants from him. In the end that’s what’s changed the most: Jean can want things now, not as much as his heart would like to, but just enough to expect something honest from Kevin.
Jean brushes his fingers over the ridiculous print of a beret on his brand new sheets and asks, "Is there even a difference in your vocabulary between those two?"
"Is there for you?" Kevin retorts.or, Jean Moreau agrees to visit Palmetto during winter break. It goes about as well as you might expect.

Summary
Just the sight of Neil’s skin against Jean’s is enough to pool a warm and heavy sensation in the pit of Kevin’s stomach. In moments like this, he is an easily inflammable thing, at the mercy of Neil and Jean trading lit matches right over him. Kevin knows painfully well how hungry the Ravens are for anything physical, be it altercation or gratification, and he wonders sometimes, in the privacy of his own sinful mind, whether Neil and Jean— No. He is a wretched being of too many wants, but an accusation like that is too blasphemous even for him.
or, Ravens come in pairs, not in threes. Neil and Jean dare to disagree.
