“Before this week, before the wedding, we’d had exactly one interaction, seven years ago, and on our second interaction ever, you shoved me into a cake.”

Or: Jesper is the First Son of the President of Novyi Zem and Wylan is the Crown Prince of Kerch. Professional ballroom dancers; Wylan Van Eck, Inej Ghafa, Imogen Khaki, Matthias Helvar, Mal Oretsev, Genya Safin, Tamar Kir-Bataar and Nikolai Lantsov are each paired with the 8 celebrities; Jesper Fahey, Kaz Brekker, Kuwei Yul-Bo, Anika Smitz, Alina Starkov, David Kostyk, Nadia Zhabin and Zoya Nazyalenski for a series of Strictly come dancing! Romances bloom, tension unfurls and drama is uncovered as the host Nina Zenik takes the 8 pairs through each week! They are judged by the interesting group of Pekka Rollins, Tolya Yul-Bataar and Tante Heleen, but who will win in this year’s competition, and who will develop the terrifying strictly curse?
This is a mostly Wesper orientated fic, however we obvs explore Helnik and Kanej. The other relationships aren’t specifically stated, except for implied flirting as I feel like giving almost ALL of the contestants the strictly curse would be a bit insane and these characters aren’t focused on in the fic, only there to fill it out more!!

Osbert hated himself for taking a step back but he did not feel like a boy talking to his grandfather anymore. He didn’t even feel like a person talking to a prisoner, he felt more like a wildebeest looking into the eyes of a lion. That was why Jan’s eyes were lifeless, he was not a human at all but a predator.

Jesper and Wylan don't tell their children everything. Osbert get's suspended from school for letting his anger get the best of him and loosing control of his Squaller powers. He can't stop himself from blaming Wylan, his father, for it. If Wylan would have let him go to school in the little palace, then this never would have happened. Later on, a fight breaks out because of it and Osbert hates himself for the things he said to Wylan. He ends up finding old letters from his grandfather who he's never met before. He takes it upon himself to try and find him, to talk to him. Maybe if he can help salvage Wylan and Jan's relationship then him and his father can make up too.
Osbert did not realize just how blessed he was.
