Grit and guts and glory.
Victory shines on Jimin today, brilliant rays of sunlight beating down on her figure as she stands tall on the stage of the winners’ ceremony. The weight of the trophy is heavy in her hands, gleaming gold dripping ostentatiously, and the weight of three time reigning world champion is a title she carries proudly.
Tears drip from Jimin’s eyes, streaking down her cheeks as she holds the trophy over her head, holding it up as the Ferrari team cheers and screams and revels with her in celebration. The journey here was harsh and difficult, but they made it, and glory be to their triumph.
Confetti and champagne soak the air and there is no greater feeling that courses through Jimin than this moment.
And then Minjeong places a hand on her shoulder, and the warmth radiating from every inch of her palm seeps down to her very bones to prove her wrong.
