    GOOD SHIT. great example of an au that WORKS. bakugou is the king of dragons, and izuku is his consort via arranged marriage. izuku also has the flower disease from unrequited love, which starts to kill him when he falls in love with bakugou. however, bakugou is king and bakugou doesn't love (love is weakness--his parents had taught him that much when his powerful mom left the kingdom to be with his dad). it's just so well-written and very maturely handled, with the right amount of beauty and serenity for a hananaki fic. 4.75

    Izuku caught himself moving forward, his head tilted somewhat to the side, and his eyes shot wide open. His gaze met Katsuki’s half-lidded eyes now that he was no longer in a dreamlike state, and seeing the way Katsuki was looking at him—waiting for him—made him realize Katsuki would’ve let him do it. He might have even wanted him to do it.

    “You’re both doing fabulous!” the photographer called out to them, packing his camera into his bag and getting ready to leave. “I just got word that what we have now should be good, so we’ll stop there. Thank you for your time! Lock the door on your way out after you change.”

    The pair stayed frozen in place, with Izuku’s arms around Katsuki’s neck and Katsuki’s hands resting on Izuku’s waist, while the photographer and his supervisor left.

    “Kacchan,” Izuku cooed once they were gone. “Did you want to…?”

    It’s 3 a.m. on the coldest sunday of the year and Izuku is too excited to feel tired. It’s release day of the newest All Might figure and he made sure he woke up early enough to buy one.

    It’s freezing and dark and Izuku is sore from the rigorous training that U.A. third years go through, but he still excitedly shifts from one foot to the other. There’s nowhere he’d rather be.

    “It’s cold as fuck out here,” Katsuki gripes beside him, burrowing his nose deeper into the collar of his thick, thermal lined jacket.

    cute fluff! from izuku's perspective. bakugou accompanies him to buy an all might figurine, warm his hands by definitely-not-hand-holding, grab coffee, and sit at a bench to watch the snow fall. but he slides everything in without revealing that it's a date til the end. it's sweet, just ooc for how sweet it is (more romcom than the actual bakudeku dynamic). 4
