Summary
Seungmin rubs a thumb across the palm of his hand where the prompt silently stares back at him, as if waiting for a response. His soulmate is a lot close than he'd like to think.
Quite literally at his fingertips.

Seungmin lives his relatively quiet and routine life without a soulmate. That is until he finds out, albeit unconventionally, that he's not as alone as the universe made him out to be.
Jisung doesn't believe in stranger danger, writes cheeky pick-up lines way too easily, and slowly but surely lodges himself into Seungmin's heart like the persistent bugger he is—like he's here to stay.
And with one final push from the universe, Seungmin thinks he'd like that.

Jisung doesn't know why the response takes him by surprise, especially since Seungmin being a (not so) little menace is nothing new. It just feels a little sudden? Different? Something is different. Jisung knows it, and somewhere deep down, he thinks he feels it too.

“We need to talk, is all,” Seungmin says, his eyes suddenly intense as he looks at Minho.
Best to feign innocence, which Minho only thinks he is good at doing. “What about?” he asks, fluttering his eyelashes as if to say What clicker? I haven’t been subconsciously training you to respond to a clicker I keep in my pocket at all. How silly.
Seungmin sputters, as if Minho is being ridiculous, playing at innocence. And, yeah, he is, but it was worth a shot. He exhales heavily, the apology already on the tip of his tongue.
“I’m sorry that I—”
“About the fact that you’re in love with me,” Seungmin hisses.
The world jerks to a stop. Standing there, pressing Seungmin against the kitchen counter by his hips and looking into his eyes, he wonders what had given him that impression. Minho was using Seungmin to his own ends, and sacrificing quite a lot to do so. Making every attempt to see Seungmin and spend time with him, being weirdly complimentary when necessary, even offering to do inane chores—
Oh.
Wherein Minho needs a subject for a school project, and Seungmin is the closest thing to a dog Minho can find.

Jisung blinks. “You kissed me just to shut me up?” He wishes he would do it again. Should he start rambling? Suddenly he finds his mind utterly blank.
“To shut you up, yes,” Seungmin affirms. “But also because you’re in love with me.”
In… love…? Jisung doesn’t think he knows what love is. “Did I write that?” he wonders stupidly. “Oh my god, I don’t even remember if I wrote that.”
“Not in so many words,” Seungmin explains. “But it’s—god, you didn’t even read it back?”
“I was scared to,” he admits. “I’m in love with you?”
