    Professor McGonagall relinquished a lone sigh. “I don’t want to make light of your… differences, but I need you both to put them aside. I want Hogwarts to be different under my tutelage than it was in the past. I want to encourage inter-House unity and cooperation. That little show of yours in the Great Hall is the exact behaviour that will no longer be tolerated; there will be no fighting between Houses. I think the best thing we can do to move forward is to present as a united front.”

    “A united front?!” Harry baulked. “But Professor—.”

    “A united front,” Professor McGonagall affirmed, cutting him off. “I am sure this will be front page of the Prophet tomorrow, so I will arrange for a sit-down interview where you can explain that you were so overwhelmed with excitement to see each other that you accidentally knocked over the fountain in a zealous display of affection.”

    Malfoy snorted in the chair next to him. Harry just gaped.
