Summary
X 'rescues' Nice's cracked and lifeless body from Treeman and Rock.
Chaos ensues as X juggles minimizing Nice's existential crisis while trying to tell him information from the outside world. Meanwhile, Nice struggles to understand why X brought him there. Feeling waves of rebellion, guilt, shame, and a strange new sense of freedom, Nice decides to defy authority in every way he can- especially when he has X's apartment to unleash his pettiness on. Overall, Nice realizes he can achieve and resist more than he ever could have imagined.

Wordlessly, he picked up the child, spinning him around and around as the rest of the class of children squealed gleefully. "Me next, me next!" The screams grew louder and louder the closer Hwoarang peered into the room. He couldn't believe his eyes. In the middle of the crowd of five-year-olds, stood Jin Kazama. He wore a loose black taekwondo gi, spinning on two feet and then one with a slight smile. And most surprising of all, it was the dojo's gi.
"Oi!"
Everyone in the room froze.
'What the hell- " Hwoarang glanced at the kids quickly, remembering the fierce bonks Baek would give him on the head - "I mean, heck are you doing here?!"
The children scattered across the training classroom. Their giggling and chattering was enough to give Hwaorang a mild headache. The ones that didn't flee latched onto the raven-haired newcomer with tenacity, determined to have their turn.
Jin turned cautiously, lifting his leg to raise one of the children up and down in the air. Focusing, he gave another slight smile.
"Long time no see...
The red-haired fighter stood at the sliding door, gaping.

**Events Happen Post-MK1, before/during some of the Character Tower Endings**
After fleeing the Lin Kuei, Scorpion and Smoke find solace with the Shirai Clan in Japan. But all is not as well as it seems. Indebted to irrational warlords and embroiled in politics, Harumi has her plate full trying to keep the Shirai clan afloat and in good graces. After the death of a client, Kuai Liang decides the Shirai are meant for something greater. Through a series of events and plots, Scorpion, Kenshi, and others settle old scores and help pick off Harumi's - and the Shirai's - enemies one by one.
OR TLDR: Kuai Liang sees Harumi bow her head to other men one too many times, Kung Lao's obsessed with being the best, and Kenshi hates Yakuza scum.
