They had gotten into plenty of fights and discussions for Viktor to recognized this tone as the serious tone that he would use whenever they got a little too close to sending the universe into a paradox or opening a black hole so big it could devour every universe. “I am trying to bare my hexacore-muted soul to you and you are choosing to discredit my intelligence with mean words.”

The words that came out of his mouth were everything except what Viktor had expected.
“Why do we always fight?’
“Excuse me?”
Or, someone on Tumblr said that Old Mage Viktor was playing god with the universe because he was looking for his immortal boyfriend to explore the universe together. My take. Kinda.
