“You always have my full attention, honey,” Will teases, putting his hands on Mike’s hips, avoiding where Mike wants his touch most.
Mike smacks him in the shoulder, “That’s not true. You’ve been ignoring me for days.”
“I’m not ignoring you. You know exactly what you have to say to get what you want,” Will smirks.
Mike tries grabbing Will’s hands, trying to force them where he wants them, but Will pulls them out of his grip, and sits on them.
“That’s not fair,” Mike pouts.
“Use your words,” Will commands.

Mike leaned back slightly, gripping the chains, staring up at the sky as it shifted from blue to purple. He thought about everything they’d lost and everything they’d somehow kept. About how Will had been brave in ways Mike still didn’t understand. About how he’d almost lost him, more times than he could count.
“I was really scared,” Mike said suddenly, before he could stop himself.
Will turned to look at him. “Of what?”
“Of losing you,” Mike admitted, his voice quieter now.

Mike starts kissing Will on the cheek. He tells himself it’s about comfort, about making sure Will is still here. He tells himself it doesn’t mean anything at all.
He is very wrong.
