Summary
When Cordelia’s mother dies in a house fire, she’s left to inhereit nearly everything. And while everything means a lot of things, like the Goode family money and the charred remains of her childhood home, it also means something far more important: custody of her seven year old sister, Zoe.
Caring for a child isn’t easy, of course, but throw in her declining passion for her job and the mysterious circumstances cropping up around her mother’s death, and all the change in her life is throwing Cordelia for a loop. Plus, add in the confusing attraction she feels toward her new neighbor, Misty Day, and there’s a whole lot going on for Cordelia right now.
