Following the events of the Masters murder, Yasmin Khan finds herself in demand as a private investigator for hire. When an anonymous letter arrives inviting her to a chateau in Provence, France to investigate a potential missing person case, Yaz nearly tosses it aside.
Except the person who wrote the invitation knows Dr. Emily Smith, Yaz's new partner in more ways than one.

Summary
Every stressful and high-stake adventure demands time to digest and cope with it all, but this time the Doctor remains out of everyone's sight unusually long – or at least that's what Yaz thinks. Then again, she might be overthinking everything revolving around her best friend right now, considering the awkwardness that has infested their interactions due to the conversation on the old Chinese beach. Still, when worry takes over at long last, she goes on the quest to find the Doctor, wherever she might be hiding (or sulking).
While Yaz isn't easily fazed any longer by the strange things that she finds in the TARDIS' labyrinth, encountering that during her search had never been on the list of things to potentially run into.
