Summary
— This was the deal. Shu devotes himself and handles the finances as they are expected, and he puts Nazuna on display. Nazuna, reciprocally, expresses his appreciation in affection and gives his gratitude in accessibility. Shu is particularly possessive. He wants to be wanted, though for security, he makes himself needed.
( shu and nazuna indulge in an overly thought out sexual roleplay scene—nazuna plays an opera dancer in nineteenth century paris, and shu plays his passionate patron. )

Summary
— So, as Shu delicately settles on the floor at Nazuna’s feet, he wonders if this is how Pygmalion of Cyprus felt. The kind of devotion to beauty which drove a man to marry a statue.
( nazuna loses his set of sewing measurements, and in a pinch, calls shu to ask if he would retake them so he has them before a rehearsal. shu, of course, is happy to comply. )

Summary
It would be wrong to say Shu deserves better than this, because he doesn't, but Nazuna's greatest strength and his worst fault is that he sees the best in everyone. Shu should have a love that makes him feel safe, comfortable, and appreciated, and he should have that half a world away from Nazuna.
If you love someone, set them free - but Shu never could, so Nazuna never will.
Nazuna arranges a surprise for Shu's birthday.
