“Father Viktor has brought back all those programs you whined about missing. The East Hall is being converted into a soup kitchen as we speak, and after Mass there’s going to be an open-doors Christmas meal,” his mother says wistfully, drinking in a sip from her mug.
Jayce is going to have to see that for himself. His high income neighborhood and the prestigious, self-righteous families that attend the Church? Rubbing elbows with people in need for the holidays?
Maybe he really does need to meet Father Viktor. And shake his hand.
