Summary
But it only made it more confusing as to why Robby was texting him. Had Dennis forgotten something at the hospital? Was he in trouble?
He fumbled to unlock the phone.
The preview text glowed on the screen:
thinking of you x
Dennis stared. The words didn’t compute. Thinking of you? From Robby? To him?
His eyes widened. A weird, hopeful thrill shot through him, immediately followed by a wave of anxiety.
Was this a mistake? A joke?
He tapped the message to open it fully.
The image loaded.
His breath stopped.
Or, Robby sends a suggestive picture to the wrong number. It escalates from there in the best way.

Summary
Dennis became a doctor to help people, it was who he was. He expected exhaustion, difficult patients, and teasing from peers, but not the quiet pull toward his grieving senior, Dr. Robby. When a panic attack breaks Robby’s carefully kept distance, Dennis steps in without hesitation. But in the days that follow, what began as compassion starts to feel like something deepee, something Dennis never expected to find in the halls of The Pitt.

Summary
Hosea took another drink of his beer next to him, eyes cast across the lake and Arthur followed, watching the early evening insects skit across the surface. Just waiting to be eaten by the swirls of fish flitting through the waters below them.
Hosea broke the silence, “You seem...Happier recently.”
Arthur didn’t know how to respond for a brief moment, so he stumbled over a couple of vowels before Hosea’s laugh was settling him and he said slowly, “I suppose I am? Nothing much though.”
Hosea’s eyes didn’t leave the rhythmic lapping of the lake against the dock, but the way his mouth curled, Arthur knew that he was about to be perhaps a bit too smart.

Summary
Dennis Whitaker was invisible, or at least he tried to be.
He'd learned the hard way that it wasn't good to garner attention. Especially when you're gay in a town with a population below 3,500 or when you're squatting in an abandoned wing of the hospital you're currently working at. So he found it was best to keep to himself, which is a rather hard thing to do when your 54-year-old attending can't keep his hands off you. It's even harder when that same attending finds you in the abandoned hospital wing.
Or
What if Dennis made sure he wasn't found by Santos only to end up getting found by Dr. Robby 2 weeks into his rotation?

Summary
Never one to mince words, Charles announced primly, “I would like to ask you if it’s alright to take Arthur away for a small trip? A day or two, not any longer.”
The book was laid to the side, jostling the record player which was spinning on as usual and Dutch pulled the needle off with a careful hand, “Hm. I suppose I have been working Arthur relatively hard.” Charles nodded once and Dutch couldn’t help but smirk a little, (good heartedly) and he patted his hands down upon his knees, “No reason why I shouldn’t let you spring to mind, so I’d say that’s a yes from me. Why not.”
---
When your collective family is in the double digits, it's unsurprising that the want to spend some time alone is in the forefront of your mind. Charles and Arthur are allowed a few days to themselves, and entirely make the most of it.
