Summary
The Soviet Union has been producing robots for a long time based on a miracle compound: polymer. But that was invented in 1941. The current year is 2038, and, due to rising tensions in the Arctic, Americans aren't as kind to Soviets as they once were. It's too bad you're a russki, and it's really too bad that you work in cybersecurity. And honestly, with the case Fowler has put you on, you're at risk of losing your job. It doesn't help that you're stuck with Lieutenant Hank Anderson and some new android apparently called Connor.
A Detroit: Become Human AU with elements from Atomic Heart (2023), in which the international political climate is a bit different and more prominent within the story. The Soviet Union still exists, and she's threatening America by proxy of her invasion of the Arctic.

You take time to wonder about how wonderfully sensitive Connor is when you touch him–and how beautiful he sounds when he begs.

Bartending is fun, for the most part: you're something of a night owl so the late hours don't bother you... the clientele can be a bit rough and ready in their attitudes, but so can you. You're fine. It's all fine. It's not as if your boss is dead weight. You're definitely not taking out any stress on the polite android sat at the bar, in fact, you're not harbouring any undue emotions at all, thank you very much.
You're lucky the deviant hunter knows a thing or two about first impressions.Bookmarked by camdracula

Summary
Connor's mildly impatient, has been since he arrived asking for your assistance. Agitation rolls from him in waves.
"Thirium distribution has been irregular," he recounts, an edge of frustration. "The entire rhythm is off, and it's causing decreases in energy efficiency—"
He freezes for several heartbeats. He's done this a couple times since arriving, too.
"—and-lag-in-my-output." Connor's voice speeds without pitching up when he moves again. He seems to catch the error and grits his teeth.
"I already know what's wrong," he says. He'd be pacing if you hadn't instructed him to stay seated. You let him vent, eyes tracking him.
"Right, your regulator's screwy," you agree. You turn in your chair to your computer. "I'll still need to figure out what the specific problem is. Your model doesn't exactly have spare parts mass produced everywhere, so I'll just have to repair what you have."
