Emet-Selch hasn’t wanted anyone in a long time. He has occasionally gone through the motions, but he figured genuine desire was lost with Etheirys. And there’s no reason he couldn’t indulge such desire now. Any indiscretion tonight will be rendered meaningless regardless of how this skirmish for the First plays out.
“That being said,” he finds himself saying, suggestively, “Might as well enjoy what could be your last night on earth, hero.”

As was his wont, G’raha had retreated up to the Rookery to clear his mind, but when he’d arrived he’d found his spot already occupied… and though his mind begged him to run, his heart led him forward and sat him down beside him. Well, he’d thought to himself, it’s just as important that he have a friend- and that became his convenient excuse for getting as much time with his beloved Warrior as he possibly could.
