What hurts most is that he’s still the same Harry. He still has that sassy streak and those nights where he wants to rant to Louis about his day, where his thoughts and words feel endless. But he can’t anymore. It’s all stuck in his brain, swirling around constantly without a way to get out.
His mind feels like an overpopulated prison, he thinks. Each thought is a new felon, filling the jail cells until there’s no room left; until one of the criminals manages to escape every now and then, just for another one to move in. He wants to tell Louis that. He wants to scream it at the top of his lungs.
Dear God, someone help. There’s too many. It’s too full. It’s stuck. They’re all stuck!
