For a long moment, the only sound is their heaving breath in the quiet room, just out of sync. Cleo grimaces at the feeling of cold air and misplaced endorphins, and shifts to sit up properly as Martyn tosses his hair out of his face and levels her with a baleful stare.
“What—” he grits out, “the hell.”
Racing heart and aching cunt put aside for the moment, she levels his look right back onto him, adds her meanest trace of condescension. “One thing you want,” speaking slowly to really get under his skin, “one thing I want.”
