    Lee Jihoon is a cinephile and grad student writing a thesis on the parallels between horror and romantic tropes. When his best friend Wonwoo drags him to a speed-dating event, Jihoon expects nothing more than a night of mediocre men and ramen.

    The night takes a gruesome turn during a blackout when one of Jihoon's dates is found with his throat slit at their table. As more bodies appear and the building is locked down, Jihoon must use his encyclopedic knowledge of slasher movie 'rules' to survive.

    As the body count rises, Jihoon begins to suspect the killer is staging the murders as a twisted way to 'woo' one of the daters into becoming a real-life Final Girl (or Guy). Amidst the carnage, he finds himself caught in an unlikely love triangle with two other survivors, leading to a high-stakes finale where he must decide if he's found true love or if his new suitor is the machete-wielding psychopath.
