Edgar arrived early to pick him up, a little before nine in the morning, the day had that particular coolness in the air that suggested maybe it would rain later, though maybe it wouldn't.

Sunset was approaching through the windows, the light turning golden and then grey as clouds moved in. While Edgar had been cooking a light drizzle had started, nothing too heavy at first and it wasn't unexpected, but now suddenly the storm broke hard. A thunderclap cracked through the sky and Ranpo let out a small gasp, jolting against the cushions, and then right after the thunder the lights went out.
The whole apartment and all the surrounding area went dark. It seems there had been a power outage from the storm. Everything felt colder immediately, the warmth of their just finished meal and their afternoon evaporating.

Poe and Ranpo plan a date day, they go to a coffeeshop, walking, the market and then sleepover at home, but the mood gets ruined (temporarily) by a stormy night

Summary
The detective was unable to sleep, not because the bed was unfamiliar (though it was, was supposed to be at least) but because something was touching him everywhere all at once. He couldn't feel the shape of hands or the length of fingers running through him, only the sense of being completely enveloped, overwhelmingly. It felt like he was submerged in deep waters with no clue of positions or directions, he couldn't escape, he could only helplessly feel the way his skin tingled and his muscles trembled beneath that almost eldritch sensation of touch, seemingly coming from nowhere.
Inside his mind, Edgar visualized the character in the book in his hands shuddering at an invisible touch, lying on the bed he had conjured, oh how he loved that sight, the way he shuddered and spasmed both from natural fear stirring inside him and from the physical, making that always so arrogant voice of his whine pitifully. Edgar reread (and re-visualized) as he ran his thumb over the page...

Controller is ditched again, Niragi doesn't even bother to pause the game, leaving the character to die, Chishiya feels proud of it like he were fighting for the ravenette's attention against the pixelated guy on the screen. And again... maybe he is, but he decides not to think about his behavior when he feels Niragi's hands on either side of his waist, holding him hard enough he's sure he'd have bruises after. Hot.

Summary
Set in a College Alternate Universe, Poe is obsessed with Ranpo and winning their rivalry, but after a set of crushing defeats wonders if Ranpo even thinks of him as a worthy rival. Things are cleared up, and they start being friends. Ranpo realizes he has feelings first and starts pursuing a relationship- but because he is bad at feelings and never says it aloud He just assumed they are in one. Poe, on the other hand has no clue, and meanwhile is planning his confession for new years.
Or: due to a miscommunication, Ranpo thinks He and Poe are dating. Poe does not.
