Summary
With the remnants of the Resistance scattered or dead, the Sarentu venture beyond the boundaries of the Western Frontier in search of new allies, walking the same paths as their diplomat ancestors. Led by Rasi, the clan journeys north to the lands of the revered Anurai. Welcomed with enthusiasm both as the family of So’lek and omens of change, each Sarentu soon finds their place.
Ri’nela learns to commune with Eywa under the tutelage of the tsahìk, Tiali.
Tamtey joins the Anurai war party, pushing back RDA treasure hunting expeditions.
So’lek and Rasi take a flock of ay-numeyu underwing as new ikranä maktoyu.
Nor is recruited by the clans’ bone artisans, who teach him that grief can be forged into constructive beauty, rather than spiteful hate.
And Teylan… he falls in love.

Teylan is such an intriguing character and an important vignette of colonialism, indoctrination, and internalization. But also, Teylan is a wholesome capable nerd, and he deserves a hot goth girlfriend. Also, they are both neurodivergent.

Wraped in a snarky but friendly attitude, hidden behind a mask. They laugh with him, give him chances to talk about how overwhelming everything is. They understand him. Everything they make feels like it speaks to him or the people in his life.
Then there's the ever silent Link. Who can't even appreciate art.
(Little does Revali know, his mystery artist is a knight trying to find an outlet for all the things he can't say during working hours)

Summary

Langdon knows he should keep his distance. You are his patient, he could lose everything again if he does this the wrong way. However, he stills finds himself falling for you every time he sees you.
