Summary
Jason may have taken a Batarang to the neck, but his meticulously crafted revenge plan was now complete, enacted, and a chapter of his life he wanted so desperately to close. Red Hood was now a force to be reckoned with in Gotham's underground, and the criminal empire Jason built for himself was thriving.
He was still legally dead to the world, and that was fine. It made being a crime lord ten times easier until a college kid dies of an overdose, and reports say they saw Red Hood on the scene. In an attempt to prove his innocence, Jason gets his GED and enrolls himself in Gotham State University as Jay Boynton, an economics major and just a regular kid on a scholarship.
It was a work thing, a temporary thing that wasn't meant to last, but was it really so bad for Jason to want to finish his degree?

“Hey, is this for ECON 317?”
Tim paused midbite, coffee bun hanging in the air. He knew that voice. In a chorus of voices, he would be able to pick out the timber, the tone, the intonation of that voice. His eyes darted up to meet bright, impossibly bright, blue eyes; ones that glowed even in the darkest of alleys, in the darkest of times. Warm, sunkissed skin, subtle stubble that lined his jaw, curly, almost unruly hair, but somehow, it always managed to look intentional, and that sterling silver earring that Tim got for him a couple of birthdays ago.
“Kon?” The syllable escaped Tim’s lips, but it felt like it always belonged there.

Jason managed to cajole Tim into majoring in Economics after Bruce came back from his vacation in the Timestream. Now, Kon showed up in the same university, in the same econometrics class, and slotted himself back in the same place he occupied in Tim's heart.

Summary
A love you can see from the rooftops.
Tim hopped onto the fire escape, his training kicking in as he dropped silently onto the metal frame. He scaled it seamlessly, the metal barely creaking as he reached the top, the gravel crunching beneath his feet. He checked the time. Usually, there'd be another hour of patrol before he and Bruce would call it a night. Another hour of swinging around, the hiss of a grapple firing into the night, the swoosh of the wind as he swung in an arc, and the relative silence of Gotham on a normal night.
“Retirement treating you well?”
Tim turned around and met the red lenses of Jason’s domino, “I’m not retired. Just taking an LOA.”

He waited again. The login page turned into another blank white screen. Jason could feel the pit forming inside his stomach. His palms were clammy, and when did it get so hot in his apartment? He stood up, quickly opening a window, one eye still on the blank webpage on his laptop. The cold breeze was a welcome change, but Jason was not risking taking his eye off his screen.
The website loaded, finally.
