For his part, Chris finds everything odd, can't keep his eyes off the gorgeous man who trapped his whole squad and certainly doesn't understand how he went from staring down the very alive Doctor Annette Birkin and her daughter to pinning Leon S. Kennedy against a door.

Summary
Leon S. Kennedy couldn’t be happier about being sent on a low-risk mission to scout a small town. Based on reports, it's a ghost town that hasn’t just become an economic wasteland but an anomalous location with disappearances. All he has to do is get in, verify that these disappearances cannot be connected to any nefarious third-party foul play, and get out. No saving the city, or a girl, or the whole fucking nation; just a simple scouting mission.
Once there, he begins to understand the gravity of the mission; something is off about Silent Hill. The town’s a labyrinth, and when the only person he can find strikes an odd cord in him, Leon's not so sure he's relieved to be here anymore; he can't help but feel the familiar itch inside him: He's getting out before the town can erode him, and this man - James - is coming with him.
These two men, for better or for worse, destabilize each other; their resolve is more fragile than they might think. Their collision is enough to set them free or damn them where they stand.

Chris keeps throwing subtle glances towards Leon as they advance through the dark tunnels only illuminated by their flashlights.
Something is wrong with Leon. Chris just knows it.
The way he had pulled away from Chris as if he’d been burned, the paleness of his face and the sheer fear he’d read in his eyes when he’d shone the light on his face…
Even now, Leon’s stance is rigid, the tension in his shoulders visible as is the tightness of his grip around his handgun.
More strangely, there’s also a scent following in Leon’s wake. There shouldn't be one since Leon is a beta.
It confuses Chris. He doesn’t know what to make of it all.
