Summary
It was strange seeing Adora after all this time. Strange, random, unnerving. So many feelings surrounded the encounter, especially when sitting in a dining room usually filled with smells of alcohol and sounds of tipsy soldiers who did nothing but complain of things they didn’t have the whole story to. Even in the uneasy silence that blanketed the table, the voices of those said soldiers echoed in the room, bouncing on the walls.
“I just want to talk,” Adora spoke first.
