Summary
Your parents wanted your clan to be able to compete with the top four. But the only people who ever were powerful enough to carry the clan, were clan born females. The last female that was born in the family was 400 years ago, but even if though you are the first girl to be born in 400 years, no one takes the your family seriously. So they decided to marry you off to a young boy born with the powers of the Gojo clan as well as the rare six eyes. For their family no one had been born with both abilities in 400 years.
Your parents used that to their leverage and by the time you were 5 years old their family finally agreed. Now the only hurdle to pass is to wait for you to be of age.
One last problem, your husband to be is 12 years older than you. But really compared to anyone else he doesn't seem like the worst. He knows he'd have to marry worse too. So it works well this way it's a friend helping a friend.
