Summary
After an eternity of hiding in the shadows, the Mind Flayer had finally caught him. It had caught him and killed him and now Will was dead. The only question he had was where he had ended up.
“Is this heaven?” he asked. “Or is this hell?”
The man brought the cigarette back up to his lips and took a long drag. His features were etched with confusion.
“This is Hawkins.”
Will was never found in the Upside Down despite Joyce and Hopper’s best efforts. After finding his vest, they assumed that the monsters had gotten to Will before they could. Will’s family and friends had no choice but to move on without him. After three years everyone has settled into a new type of normal. El has a family now and the party is doing their best to go forward. What they don’t know is that Will survived. He’s back from the Upside Down with little to no recollection of his old life in Hawkins. It's up to them to find him and bring him home again.

Peter always tried to stay out of trouble, it wasn't his fault that trouble tended to follow him around. This time though, when both Tony and Peter find themselves being held captive by Oscorp, finding a way out of trouble won't be so easy. Peter hopes that if he can manage to stay complainant and cooperative, they won't hurt the only father figure Peter has.
“We have Stark and that’s all it’s going to take to get you to corporate.” Osborn said, his face once again neutral. “If you try anything, we’re going to hurt him and that’s going to be on you. If you even think about getting out of here, you’re going to sit there and watch just what we can do to him, Peter.”

Summary
As much of a mystery as Mike was, Will had come to understand at least one thing. Mike needed to be needed.
Will felt like a lightbulb had gone off in his head when he’d come to the realisation.
The dealing, the sex, the taunting texts – it all made sense. People came to Mike to get what they needed, whether that be drugs, an orgasm, or the last word in a fiery exchange.
The goading messages were a test, Will had decided – a constant push and pull, Mike seeing whether Will would come back and defend himself against his harsh words.
In a way, Will was no better than the people traipsing Mike’s door at all hours of the night. He did need something from Mike, just the same as everyone else.Or:
Ending up on the infamous roster of the college drug dealer was not in Will's college plans. He'd had a list — a real one, written down — of how this year was supposed to go. Mike Wheeler was not on it. None of this was.

"Need a light?" MJ looks down at the joint in Will's hands, confused.
"Oh, right now?" Will startles, looking at the door handle.
"Are you always this jumpy? Man, you really need this, huh? C'mere." Will hesitates. MJ sighs, reaching for the joint in Will's lap and feeding it to him.
He sparks the lighter and holds it to the end of the freshly rolled joint. Will watches his eyes on the flame, unsure what to do next. "Breathe in." MJ demands through an airy laugh, waiting for the end of the joint to glow before leaning back in his seat.
