When Otabek reached Yuri's door he could smell the decay. Flies buzzed around the frame and when he finally managed to peak in, the first sight he saw was the rotting flowers littering every surface. He'd spent hours crying silently as person after person came to bang on his door until finally they stopped calling his name. He was never more grateful to have only one copy of the apartment key.
