He moved to extricate himself but Mydei’s hand on his shoulder tightened and another grasped his arm about to push away from the earth. The pleased glow upon his features had dimmed and the shrewd edge had returned, bringing suspicion with it.
“We’ve laid together many times in the past,” Mydei said bluntly.
Phainon chuckled and hoped the mirth covered his nerves that came from Mydei striking with unerring precision. “And there’s a much more comfortable cot for us to lay in at home,” he responded obtusely.
“The look of the fool doesn’t suit you. No matter how many times you choose to wear it.”
His mouth parted; soundless before it closed again without spewing any of his foolish diversions. “So you noticed.”
Mydei stared, unimpressed. “It’s hard to miss your refusal to go as far as heavy petting. It’s a bold change from your past enthusiasm.”
It’s been months since Amphoreus was safely stored away in the Eternal Page, which is enough for the harvest season to arrive in Aedes Elysiae. Back home for the first time, and with Mydei at his side, Phainon’s hesitance unravels in the wheatfields beneath the stars.

In an act of kindness, Mydei had let Phainon’s feet touch the rug before issuing that next command so his knees were saved from the harsh flooring as he settled, naked, on his knees while Mydei loomed over him. He had never been taller, broader, more imposing than now. When Phainon was not his equal in skill and status, but knelt prone at his feet.
“Keep your hands flat against your thighs. Do not move them.”
After a lapse in judgement on the training grounds, Mydei aims to finally teach Phainon some self-control with a new kind of punishment.

Summary
Some people can say Mydeimos, last prince of Castrum Kremnos, has a betting problem.
Mydei, however—in the most politest of terms—is in it to win it.
In not so polite terms, he calls everyone else critical of his betting skills losers. He admits that it’s a bit toxic of him, but that’s to show that he doesn’t take bets lightly at all, and more that he honors each bout with utmost dignity and sheer competitiveness.
So the moment Mydei sees the emblem stamped on the flags of the city-state, he turns to Hyacine and says, "I bet you three balance coins that that's our monster."
Hyacine sputters, even as Little Ica eyeballs the emblem and agrees with a solemn, "Doo doot."
There's a unicorn. And a fertility festival. Mydei's a virgin and that shouldn't matter until it does.

He stands close enough to see the freckles on Phainon’s golden-hued skin, close enough to breathe in his earthy scent. His want is a physical being that demands he grip Phainon’s body and never let go lest this moment slips away from them both. He cups Phainon’s face, and Phainon settles his hands on his hips.
Sometimes, he watches Phainon and thinks how fortunate it is that they can be this kind, this delicate with each other now.
“I think you’re the more eye-catching one between the two of us, Mydeimos,” Phainon says. His lips twitch, and Mydei can feel the muscles of his cheek moving under his fingers.
What a miracle it is that they have this now. What a relief.

Summary
It seems it cannot be avoided. Not exactly like Mydei is avoiding physicality in any sense of the word, but he had held off in order to measure Phainon's longevity. Now that he's found it to be unfortunately deficient, it seems that critical action must be taken. He owes it to him, doesn't he? It just…remains to be seen if Phainon's interest is piqued by such a notion.
It certainly does not save him from feeling like a predator circling it's prey, sizing up a meal to fill the maw in his chest. Perhaps he should bear some level of shame for actively planning something like this; a proverbial setting of the snare for the other to walk into, one last test in order to present his suggestion. But they've fought like wild dogs, and they've bathed together. This is just the next natural step.
mydeimos has noticed the deliverer's stamina lacking in their latest spars. he endeavors to assist him with this problem through unconventional means.
phainon accepts the proposal, but his endurance...isn't as poor as he made it seem.

Summary
Soft, Phainon thought with his breath catching in his throat. He looks… soft. Comfortable.
Familiar and foreign features mixed together creating an image so enchanting Phainon couldn’t tear his gaze away even if he tried. Painfully familiar crimson tattoos, same shade of strawberry blonde hair that made Phainon’s hand itch with the desire to bury his fingers in those soft locks. Same build and strength that belonged to a body that was forged by one tragedy after another but there laid a difference – where once was hard and unyielding muscles now laid a soft layer of fat that only came with decades lived in comfort, something that his Mydei had never had the privilege of having. The locks that Phainon was so used to – shiny, a little wavy and with ends that were just uneven enough to get unnoticed by the general public – now were longer, shinier, wavier.
This Mydei was older, more mature. With scars painting his body that Phainon didn’t know the history behind and with experience that Phainon was never a part of.
The thought inexplicably made something in his chest hurt.

“Sorry, Your Highness,” Phainon says easily. He walks to the other side of Mydeimos and pulls a chair close to him, sitting down. “What are you eating tonight? It looks good. Did you make it?”
Krateros desperately looks towards Gorgo, trying to discern if she sees what the hell he is. She doesn’t meet his gaze. Distraught, Krateros returns his sight to the two, only to be met with Mydeimos feeding Phainon a piece of his meal.
What the hell. What the hell what the hell.
Krateros learns his precious godson is in a relationship with Phainon, his least favorite person in the world. He doesn't take it well.
