Flambae flushed, trying not to burst into flames then and there. Why was Robert so good at getting a reaction out of him? He looked down, staring at his half empty glass for a moment.
He looked up again, Robert was swaying a little, their faces way closer than they were at the start. Had Flambae instinctively leaned in further?In which Robert is drunk and Flambae gets stuck with babysitting duty. And by the end of it, maybe Flambae's a little drunk too...

“Court is adjourned for the day.” Edgeworth looks like a pampered prince from this angle, propped up on his elbow and staring down at Phoenix with thinly veiled amusement and lingering desire. When he draws Phoenix up he goes willingly, accepting his kiss like an honored knight summoned for a sacred task. He feels chosen among a crowd of others, singled out for his superior abilities.“But I’ve got some really compelling evidence I need to present.” His words come out a little breathless as he finds himself being rolled to his side of the bed. How wonderful that he has a designated side now when he didn’t before.
Edgeworth pats his chest a little condescendingly. “You’ll just have to hold onto it until next time.” Those words said so casually, without a hint of fear or retraction, set Phoenix’s heart ablaze.

The full reason for why he dodges certain questions is a little more complicated. Usually he’d be glad to talk about his past, especially when it comes to Miles, but there is a little complication when it comes to talking to his subordinates. See, there is a good chance that if he starts talking about Miles, the fact they might mention the first time he and Miles met in court. And if they do, they might make a comment about how it was the first time they saw each other since they were kids. And if he does not voice his response to that very, very carefully, then Athena and Apollo will immediately realize he’s lying.
Because in reality, that is not quite the truth.

“So you’re a gentleman.” Phoenix says, and in a strange sort of word association that he’s not entirely sure makes sense even in his own brain, he follows that up with, “Does that mean you’re straight?”
“I do not believe being a gentleman requires heterosexuality,” the man states, which is such an unwieldy sentence that Phoenix almost wants to laugh, but his hindbrain has other concerns at the moment.

“Are you always this sentimental with men you sleep with?” Miles asks as he starts to pull out.
“Just the devastatingly handsome ones,” Phoenix says with a grin and Miles rolls his eyes before he thrusts in again and wipes the smirk off Phoenix’s face. His rhythm builds slowly, steadily building speed until Phoenix’s toes are curling and he can’t articulate any of the thoughts in his head, too lost in the sensations.

also any moment with trucy and them as a family just has my heart oml
the smut was so good!!! less of it as the story goes on which i honestly appreciated, gave the story more ability to talk about their feelings
and the feelings are THERE, these two have so many feelings UGHHH phoenix is so repressed!!!! miles is so hesitant!!!! they're tiptoeing around saying i love you while blowing eachother's brains out on a european vacation <333i feel like 7yg phoenix is a hard character to write, especially from his perspective, because we don't get any insight through playing as him in aa4, but this has got to be one of my favorite interpretations of his character, i could say more and more but ughh sleeppy this fic is just lovely and totally rereadable <333
