Looking down at the damp concrete, Dana stifled a sigh. Well, there were definitely worse things to get on her scrubs than rainwater she thought as she sat down next to Santos.
“What’s going on, kid?”
Santos looked away, eyes dropping to her hands as she picked at the skin at the edge of her thumbnail. “Bad case,” she said tonelessly.
“Wanna talk about it?” Dana took a drag of her cigarette, turning her head to breathe the smoke away from Santos.

Summary
Trinity moved to intercept, but it was too late. His hand managed to grab a hand full of the nurse's hair before yanking her back and toward his arms. For a moment, Trinity thought he would succeed. That the man would manage to get the nurse into his arms. But despite everything — the strength, the pain, the lack of air — the nurse fought, yanking her own head forward before reaching for Trinity with teary eyes.
“Hu—“ She coughed. “Hoop—“
An action that lasted a second. A mere second, but felt like forever. Trinity knew at that moment that she would never be able to forget those big, scared brown eyes. Tearfilled, as they looked at Trinity with desperation.
It didn’t matter that Langdon had gotten away with endangering patients and stealing drugs. That Garcia had thrown her own words back at her and it had stung. That she might repeat her R2 year before even starting it.
It didn’t matter that this man was bigger, stronger, and angrier than her. A hand had clasped her own, digging their nails into her wrist with desperation.
Nothing mattered except protecting this nurse.

Summary
Keeping her gaze firmly ahead, Trinity listened to the whirring of the elevator and the ding of the call lights as they continued to descend.
And then those noises stopped.
“What the fuck?” Garcia said as the elevator sat unmoving. There was no drop, no grinding, just a complete lack of movement and sound.
Trinity was closer to the control panel, so she hit the button for the ground floor again as if that would help.
It did nothing.
“Shit,” she muttered under her breath as she tried the emergency call button instead.
Trapping garsantos in an elevator to try to get them to actually communicate!
