Dream is dropping his keys on the counter. He’s dropping his keys, and he’s walking around the back of the couch, still staring at the screen.

    He sits down.

This can’t be happening. There is no way Dream just walked in on George getting off, evidence still pulled up on the screen in full high definition glory, and instead of doing the normal person thing and leaving to avoid any awkward conversations, he just…

Plops himself down. Right on the other end of the couch, just a few feet away from where George is clutching the pillow to his lap for dear life, flames burning in his cheeks. As if this is any other normal interaction for the two of them. Like he walked in on George watching a new episode of Better Call Saul and not Brunet Twink is a Cock-Hungry Slut: Part II.

    George thinks he might die.

Dream's busy and always expects George to change around the plans for him but George is tired of it. When George refuses to budge on his birthday plans, Dream tells him the one thing that makes him regret even coming to America in the first place.

    -

“This dinner is important to me, Dream–and going home is important to me, too. I miss Patches and–”

Dream cuts in to interrupt before he even finishes what he’s saying, voice raising just enough that George steps away from him again with surprise. “So go. Go home, George. I never said you have to stay here, I don’t give a fuck.”

    Summary

And it’s cold enough to feel like the middle of the night, if he faced reality and opened his eyes it’d probably be dark. Some weird dream that wasn’t even dirty and his hips are still pressing forward. And George seems to be the closest thing for him to grind against. Maybe if he squeezes his eyes shut hard enough he can fall back asleep and forget about it all.

George is so comfy against him, warm and sleepy tucked under his arm. And it seems they’d been spooning or something of the sort. And he sighs, still hard between them but awake enough to stop. But George hasn’t moved away, seeming to not mind the stiffness against his lower back.

“‘m sorry,” Dream moves to tuck his arm tighter around him, feeling the coldness of a chain against the corner of his mouth, “Didn’t mean to.”

“It’s not like you’re a virgin, right?” Quackity rolls his eyes.

Dream watches George intently, how his body tenses and his ears turn as red as his face, and how he bites the inside of his cheek. He knows exactly what that means.

“No,” George says, and Dream knows he’s lying. He knows because he knows George, and everyone else here knows George but they don’t know him like Dream does.

The conversation around them shifts again, the attention falling back onto general principles of hookups when you’re famous on the internet, and Dream is the only one in the room who knows George is a virgin.

    Summary

Almost a year had passed since the call, as George had titled it in his head to avoid acknowledging everything else that it was—so much more than a call. Almost a year since George had confessed to things he’d expected to take to his grave, and almost a year since the two of them had wordlessly moved on like nothing had happened at all. In that time, they’d never spoken about it, which, to be fair, wasn’t unusual. They had also never repeated it.

In over nine months, Dream had woken George with a phone call only twice, and both had been while he was still in London. One was because of a nightmare, and the other was because he was bored and George had been asleep for over twelve hours. Since the call, Dream had not requested any further physiological ‘help’ from George.
