Summary

Ah crap. He’d had a good run flying under Curtis’ radar. It had been at least ten minutes. He might as well recommit to being that kid in class that all the teachers hated. “Yeah?” He could see the vein in Curtis’ forehead bulge as he answered the man so casually. He briefly wondered if anyone had ever called Curtis anything other than ‘Sir.’ Perhaps he’d come out of the womb and the doctor announced ‘Congratulations, it’s a Sir!’ He bit his lip to stop himself from giggling at that thought.
“What’s on your forehead?”
He raised an eyebrow, smoothing his voice down into a nonchalant, bordering on bored tone. It was the voice he’d perfected in secondary school. “My sunglasses?”
