    Listen, this is not a super original set of ideas. I just thought that the trope where Soap is told to shut up paired with him getting buried alive like Ghost was needed to exist together. So enjoy the angst and the inevitable comfort. >:3

    Everyone in Soap's life has told him he's just too much. Not in the 141 though. But that can't last forever. He's bound to mess it up soon. It seems to happen on a particular mission, when Johnny gets trapped in a grave with a corpse. When the team realizes where they've made him wait for so long, they feel nothing but regret. Particularly Ghost, who is all too familiar with spending time underground...

Soap once had drunkenly apologized to Gaz for being such a loudmouth, and when Gaz insisted that everyone liked his friendly chattiness, Soap had literally flopped over him in relief and confessed that being told to shut up was like being kicked. No other insult or fight had the same effect on him.

    Except, perhaps, being called useless.
