He’s in the middle of tweeting about his little exchange with the cashier when he hears the tell-tail laughter of Eddie Kaspbrak somewhere off in the distance. He looks up from his phone and straight ahead across the shop he sees Eddie talking to someone.
Which would be fine if it weren’t some fucking guy.
The guy is definitely not Eddie’s type, but Richie still feels a not so pleasant fire burning in his chest and a sour taste in his mouth.
Okay so maybe he’s a little jealous, and what about it? You can’t arrest him for that, go away.

But Richie knew she’d be a huge fucking hypocrite to say that, as she held herself back from the only thing she’d ever truly wanted, frozen in place like an opposum playing dead, as if loving Eddie would kill her. Maybe it would.
