Summary
"You'll be late for school if you keep staring at the ground like that!" was supposed to be the first sentence his soulmate will ever say to him. When he was younger, he had been confused by it. He wasn't a real human, so he didn't attend school and likely wouldn't even in the future. He looked human, had human-like skin, had a soulmate like other humans, but he wasn't really human. He was the personification of a country, one who had no need to attend schools for the sake of education as actual humans do.
His immortality would rub off on his soulmate, as Iceland learned. Eventually, he stopped looking forward to meeting his soulmate. Of course, it's right when he's thinking about that particular sentence on his left arm that he meets you, the so-called soulmate.
