Everything was chlorine-scented, neon blue and glimmering. He was distantly aware he was grinning down at Andy like an idiot– but Andy was wearing that easy, sweet smile of his, so maybe Joe wasn’t so wrong to feel as giddy as he did. The other man reached up to hold his chin gently, and Joe’s heart picked up– Yeah, he wanted to be kissed, right here by the poolside, wanted the chill that was settling into his wet body kissed right out of him. He wanted to taste the chlorine that had seeped into Andy’s skin.

Summary
“I’m here to visit a patient. Ben Dussold? Benjamin,” Rob said, his voice unusually silvery.
Ben had the tendency to do that. Soften his edges.
“Alright,” the receptionist looked over at her computer, typing something. “If you wanna wait over there, I just have to get someone to come check you for any restricted items,” she said in a courteous manner, pointing at some chairs.
Restricted items. Right. Rob sat down in the chairs, hands resting on his knees. He knew reasonably that they had to do that for everyone, but the idea stung. What kind of monster would he be, saving Ben from dying in a crappy little hotel room and then bringing him drugs in rehab?
Then again, he never did much about Ben’s problem until now.
